necter bar & grill - James Island, South Carolina 2008

This restaurant had formerly been a sports bar with steakhouse feel. I created a logo that brought attention to the local flavor of James Island, located close to Charleston, SC. Many locals surf on the beaches at the end of the road on which necter is located. The tropical flower on a surfboard became the icon for the inspiration for the remodel of the restaurant.

Liberty Heights Church Preschool -Liberty Township, OH 2009

Liberty Heights Preschool department needed a new mascot and logo for their Sunday mornings as well as their weekday preschool. They wanted a kid-friendly logo that was easily recognizable. I used primary colors as well as simple shapes to compose a train character.
This brand is carried through the preschool check-in desk by utilizing check in "windows" as "ticket-counters" and a chalk board out front to let parents know who was the "conductor" that day.
The logo is used for letterhead as well as an embroidered polo that the workers wear. It is also for that reason that I kept the design very simple.

Erin Jackson Photography -Cincinnati, OH 2009

When deciding to start my photography business last year, I wanted to convey a feeling of fun and relaxing recreation. I did not want my business to feel traditional, fake, or static. My photography style is more photojournalistic and captures my clients' true character instead of making them pose. To communicate this through my logo, I decided to use a symbol of childhood memories, a swing. The simple nature and bright colors support this feel.
