Brewer FCU -Brewer, Maine 2006
Environmental Graphics including large scale duotone printed canvases
stretched along back wall.
Tech area includes multiple layers of colored acrylic and vinyl design.
Erie Bank -Erie, Pennsylvannia 2007The local area of Erie is used as inspiration for the multi-layered entry graphic. A photo printed panel with an overlay of clear acrylic with backpainted acrylic letters is used to welcome customers into the bank.
During a preliminary visit to the surrounding area, I photographed many landmarks and recognizable places to be used in the teller wall graphic and the wallpaper mural above the teller area. This is used to reinforce community involvement from the bank.
Forest Park FCU- Portland, Oregon 2007
This branch Credit Union is located inside a hospital. It required the most "bang for the buck" because of the small space. For this reason I used a large scale graphic creating a window effect and opening up the space.
The use of natural materials in the interior as well as the graphics also supported the locale.
The logo was created using 4 different metals and the orange-yellow acrylic remained translucent as inspired by light shining through a leaf in the forest.
Hocking Valley Bank - Athens, OH 2008The logo was created using 4 different metals and the orange-yellow acrylic remained translucent as inspired by light shining through a leaf in the forest.
This remodel of an existing building brought retro back into the bank. The light fixtures that were existing were inspiration for the back teller wall as well as the etched look vinyl on the office windows. A community wall was also incorporated in to highlight the connection to the local history.
The interior of this new build is highly inspired by the history of the area. The concept was very western themed from the beginning. Images of buffalo and flowing wheat are used to reinforce this. Wheat embedded into acrylic served as a backer for wayfinding signage throughout the branch as well as an accent on the queueing line.
